Nutrition: It has been hard but once you get in a good habit than it will get easier and easier. I had to change what I ate because it is not the healthiest and it is better to start as soon as possible. I did not just eat greens because that is not healthy for you at all. I cut down on sugar and added a fruit or veggie to every meal. I still have a little bit of junk food sometimes but I try to work it off the next day with a workout or two. Sometimes people offer me something sweet but I have to say no which is hard because who would want to say no to a sweet.

My fitness goal is to have toned arms and legs and loose a couple lbs. I am going to work hard and keep at it everyday to make sure I hit my goal. It is going to be hard but I am promising myself it will happen. I also just want a healthier me that can do more to stay active. I am being consistent with my workouts. There is still a long way to go but I will push myself to get there. I will stay away from junk food and sweets the most I can.

Some obstacles in fitness I had to overcome are that I had to make a plan and stick to it so then I would not slack off and let me just say it was hard but I did my best. If you work hard and do your best that is all you can do in life and just keep at it and never give up.

There are those rare occasions when you eat some unhealthy food and it has happened to me but we need to work it off and be better about it. I am still trying accomplish those goals but we get closer and closer each time we say no to ice cream or brownies.

Final reflections: I have had a hard but fun time this summer working out and eating healthy. Summer is the time when ice cream is most eaten so it has been hard but it will get better and easier. This helped me a lot and I hope I can stay like this for a while.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
